Eduard
Ballester Pi est un jeune artiste conceptuel, originaire de Girone,
qui a fait ses armes dans la publicité avant de se tourner vers
la mode exclusivement masculine. Sa collection pour l'été 2006 intitulée
Entropia reflète assez bien son état d'esprit, puisqu'il est question
de bousculer et de casser les codes établis et de créer à partir
de ce chaos de nouvelles coupes et de nouveaux volumes. Le créateur
s'emploie à réinterpréter le sur- mesure en y apportant une
touche personnelle empreinte d'une lutte intérieure qui débouche
sur de nombreuses pièces atypiques.
Les vêtements se bi-colorent à travers un savant jeu de patchwork,
les pantalons larges se plient et se déplient d'autres se raccourcissent
dans un effort contorsionniste, tout comme les manches qui apparaissent
ou disparaissent. Toutes les pièces sont chargées de symbolisme.
Le vêtement opère une mutation constante appuyée par le jeu des
sérigraphies représentant le chaos dans l'imaginaire d'Eduard: l'homme
devient scorpion ou le scorpion homme semant une anarchie anthropologique.
Un talent fortement reconnu en Espagne qui ne saurait tarder à tout
bousculer pour conquérir la France et le reste du monde!

Ballester Pi is a young conceptual artist, from Girona, who started to work
in advertising before shifting to men's fashion. Entropia, his collection
for Summer 2006 reflects pretty well, his state of mind, as the spirit is to
break the codes and to create new cuts and volumes out of chaos. The designer
makes a new interpretation of tailoring introducing personal touches revealing
a fight from the inside and engendering unique pieces. The clothes are
bi-coloured through a smart play of patchwork. The pants fold and unfold themselves,
some others are getting shorter in a contortionist way, the sleeves appear
and disappear. All the pieces are symbolic. The cloth is submitted
to a constant mutation, enhanced by the serigraphic elements correlating
the designer's mind notion of chaos: the man becomes a scorpio and the
scorpio becomes a man, creating then, an anthropological anarchy.
This highly recognized and talented designer, should turn everything upside
down very soon in France and the rest of the world.
